'Bill Gates was warned in 2008 for sending obscene emails to a female employee'

Bill Gates, the world's fourth richest man and co-founder of technology company Microsoft, has been revealed to have sent e-mails to his female employee in the past and was warned by the company in 2008.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Bill Gates, the former CEO of Microsoft, was allegedly stopped by two top officials of the firm from sending obscene emails to a female employee of the company.

The report states that Bill Gates had emailed the female employee when he was the CEO of the company and that he had been married to Melinda Gates for more than a decade.

Emails were sent by Bill Gates to a middle-ranking employee of a software company, which was later leaked to Microsoft executives.

He was summoned to a meeting by Brad Smith, the company's top lawyer at the time, and Lisa Brummel, the most senior human resource executive.

According to the Wall Street Journal, during the meeting, Brad Smith and Lisa Broomel told Bill Gates that the emails were inappropriate and needed to be stopped.

Bill Gates reportedly agreed not to contact the woman.

According to the American newspaper, Smith and Broomel had informed the company's board of governors about the emails and the board had decided that no further action was required on the matter.

A Microsoft spokesman told the Wall Street Journal that the company had been notified of Bill Gates' emails sent to employees in 2007, a few months before Bill Gates retired as a full-time employee.

Spokesman Frank Shaw said Bill Gates had offered to meet the woman outside the office.

He said Bill Gates' emails were not explicitly sexual but were inappropriate.

Frank Shaw said the woman had never filed a complaint against Bill Gates over the incident.

Bridget Arnold, a spokeswoman for Bill Gates, said: "These claims are false, they are recycled rumors from sources who have no direct knowledge of the matter and in some cases there are conflicts of interest."

A report in the Wall Street Journal earlier this year made the shocking revelation that Bill Gates had resigned from the board of directors of his company Microsoft in March 2020 because of an ongoing company investigation against him. It turned out that he had sex with a female employee.

The newspaper reported, citing at least two people involved in the case, that Microsoft had received news in 2019 of an old Bill Gates affair, which was being investigated.

The report states that the investigation revealed that Bill Gates had sex with a female employee of Microsoft in the year 2000 and the happy relationship between the two ended after some time.

Another report said that in the past, Bill Gates had met with American businessman Jeffrey Upston, who was accused of providing young girls for prostitution to the richest people and he committed suicide in a US prison in 2019.

The report said that after hearing the news of meetings with Jeffrey Upston, Melinda Gates had decided to divorce her husband in 2019 and had announced her separation this year.
