The United States must also be held accountable for its past killings and crimes, the Taliban said

KABUL: Taliban Deputy Minister for Culture and Information Zabihullah Mujahid has said that the United States should apologize for the killings during the Afghan war and provide financial assistance as compensation to the bereaved.

According to the World News Agency, the United States acknowledged the "serious mistake" in killing 10 people, including children, in a drone strike in late August, saying the victims were not suspected ISIS suicide bombers but innocent civilians. ۔

Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban's deputy information minister, told Chinese media in an interview that this was not the only time the United States had committed a serious crime. This has happened many times in the 20-year Afghan war.

On the occasion, Zabihullah Mujahid also demanded that the United States should be held accountable for its past killings and war crimes and also pay compensation to the bereaved.

Condemning the US admission of innocent lives in the drone strike, Deputy Information Minister Zabihullah Mujahid said it was a serious violation of human rights and a negligence in which dozens of precious lives were lost.
