New Delhi: A tragic incident has taken place in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, where a bus full of passengers fell into a canal.
According to Indian media, a bus fell into a canal from a bridge in Patna village of Madhya Pradesh's Sadhi district this morning, killing at least 37 people, including at least 16 women. The accident took place at 8.30 am local time. ۔
According to Indian media, the unfortunate bus was going to Satna from Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh. More than 50 people were on board the bus. Upon receiving the report of the accident, rescue teams reached the spot and started operations.
According to rescue teams, seven people managed to swim to the bank of the canal and were rushed to a hospital for medical treatment.
