The Pakistan Army has paid tribute to Muhammad Hussain, who was awarded the Haider Medal on his 49th day of martyrdom. On social networking site Twitter, the DG ISPR said that Muhammad Hussain, who rode in the 1971 war, showed great bravery and courage in the Wall Shakargarh sector. Sawar Muhammad Hussain alone destroyed 16 Indian tanks and inflicted heavy losses on the enemy. He was born on 18 January 1949 in Dhok Pir Bakhsh area of Rawalpindi.
