PPP decides not to resign from Sindh Assembly

The PPP has decided not to resign from the Sindh Assembly, which has been agreed upon by Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari.

It was decided in the communication between the two leaders that the PPP would submit its resignations first in the National Assembly, then in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan Assembly, and finally in the Senate. After the acceptance of the resignations, the Sindh government will be considered to leave. Nawaz Sharif called the Sindh government the backbone of the movement.

On the other hand, PPP MNA Agha Rafiullah wrote his resignation in the name of Bilawal Bhutto instead of the Speaker. Agha Rafiullah addressed the party chairman in his resignation while the resignation from the membership is written to the speaker of the National Assembly.

Yesterday, PML-N MNA Afzal Khokhar and MPA Saif-ul-Muluk Khokhar had submitted their resignations to Maryam Nawaz.

It is to be noted that anti-government rallies are going on by the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) while the PDM has also threatened the government to resign.
