Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar gave in-principle approval to run green electric buses. Usman Bazdar said that the transport department should review all the options and make final recommendations immediately. Environmental pollution and smog will be reduced.
According to private TV, a special meeting on transport was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar. The Punjab Chief Minister gave in-principle approval to run green electric buses.
The meeting decided to activate the Vehicles Inspection Certification System for permanent control of smog. Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Bazdar said that Lahore Transport Company would be transformed into Punjab Transport Company. The meeting also approved recruitment of Transport Inspectors, Sub Inspectors and Sergeants in Punjab. ۔
Chief Minister Usman Bazdar said that electric buses would be run on 6 routes of 103 km length in Lahore. In the meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, various options for purchase of electric buses were considered. Usman Bazdar said that Transport Department should review all options and make immediate final recommendations. Under the public transport partnership, electric buses will be operated in other cities, reducing environmental pollution and smog from electric buses.
The Punjab Chief Minister said that he would do everything that would benefit the people. The Chief Minister directed to improve the cleaning arrangements at the route station of Orange Line Metro Train. Usman Bazdar said that no one would work on the cleaning arrangements at Orange Line Metro Train and stations. There will be no compromise, I will take a surprise visit and take stock of the arrangements of the Orange Line Metro train.
The Punjab Chief Minister said that for the first time public transport would be run in the areas of Koh-e-Sulaiman, the best transport would be provided in Kot Chhatta, Taunsa and DG Khan, state-of-the-art buses would be run in Faisalabad and other divisions.
