Mumbai Police auctioned off 6 properties of Dawood Ibrahim. According to India Times, the properties of Dawood Ibrahim have been auctioned for Rs 2.3 million under the Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators Act. Among those who successfully bid for the properties are two prominent Indian lawyers, Ajay Srivastava and Bhupinder Bhardwaj. Most of these properties are small buildings and are in a very dilapidated condition.
According to the report, these properties are in the villages located in Ratnagiri, which is the ancestral area of Dawood Ibrahim's family. Initially, it was decided to auction 13 properties of Dawood Ibrahim, but due to corona virus, the decision was postponed and now 6 of them have been auctioned. Apart from these, two flats of Dawood Ibrahim's right hand man Iqbal Memon alias Iqbal Marchi in Mumbai are also being auctioned.
