Engineer Majid Abu Zahr, the caretaker of the Astronomical Society, says that on Sunday, November 8, before the sun rises in the morning, the moon will be directly above the Kaaba.
Astronomer Abu Zahra added that the moon will be in a vertical shape over the Kaaba at 6:07 a.m. and 5 seconds before sunrise on Sunday, local time.
Web News 'Sabq' has quoted astronomer Abu Zahr as saying that this will be the fifth and last time the moon will come vertically above the Kaaba.
The fact that the moon is visible above the Kaaba will make it easier to turn the qiblah. In the past, the direction of the Ka'bah was determined by such incidents.
It should be noted that the moon was first seen in a vertical shape just above the Kaaba Sharif in March 2020 this year while the scene seen vertically above the Kaaba Sharif on November 8 will be the last scene of this year.
Astronomer Abu Zahr added that when the moon appears in a vertical shape just above the Kaaba, its height will be 89.58.19 degrees, while the moon will reflect 54.8% of the light from the sun with an angle of 95 degrees. Its distance from the sun will be 383621 km.
Abu Zahra described the moon's ascension to the Kaaba as an ideal opportunity for photography, saying the scene would be attractive to photographers when half of it was shining in the sunlight and the other half in the dark. And a blue sky will appear behind it.
