Law enforcement officials in Riyadh have arrested an Indian national on charges of distilling alcohol.
The accused had set up a distillery in Al-Alia area of the city.
Web News 24 quoted a video statement released by the Interior Ministry as saying that during a routine patrol in the Al-Aliya area, law enforcement officers monitored and arrested a suspect who was involved in distilling and He was involved in supplying it.
The accused had set up a hideout in his flat. Apart from 31 drums and 51 bottles of ready-made liquor, distilleries were also recovered from the Indian flat.
An FIR was registered against the accused and he was handed over to the prosecution general's office where the case will be presented in the criminal court after further investigation.
