Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth passed away due to corona.

According to a Peshawar High Court spokesman, Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth had been ill for the past few days and was undergoing treatment at Kulsoom International Hospital in Islamabad, where he died on Thursday night. His funeral prayers will be offered on Friday at 2 pm on Shami Road, Peshawar. According to the spokesperson, Justice Waqar Seth had been undergoing treatment at the hospital for the last 10 days. He was appointed ad hoc judge of Peshawar High Court in 2011.

It may be recalled that Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court Waqar Ahmed Seth had filed an application in the Supreme Court two days ago for his appointment. He had filed the petition after the retirement of Justice Faisal Arab. Earlier in June this year, he had also challenged the appointment of three judges of the Lahore High Court in the Supreme Court through a petition.

Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth was also part of the special court that sentenced former President Pervez Musharraf to death in a high-profile treason case. Chief Justice Waqar Seth in his judgment had directed the law enforcement agencies to make all possible efforts to arrest and execute General (retd) Pervez Musharraf and if he was found dead, his The body should be brought to D-Chowk, Islamabad where it should be hung for three days.
