Other political and national leaders, including Prime Minister Imran Khan, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed, have expressed grief over the death of Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth.
According to details, Prime Minister Imran Khan in his tweet prayed for the high status of Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth. According to DG ISPR, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa expressed his condolences to the family of the late Chief Justice Peshawar High Court. Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed prayed for a place of patience for the bereaved and a place of mercy for the deceased. Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Sirajul Haq in a statement said that Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth was a fearless judge who gave his life. On the other hand, Pakistan Bar Council and Supreme Court Bar Association have declared a day of mourning.

According to a Peshawar High Court spokesman, Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth had been ill for the past few days and was undergoing treatment at Kulsoom International Hospital in Islamabad, where he died on Thursday night. His funeral prayers will be offered on Friday at 2 pm on Shami Road, Peshawar. According to the spokesperson, Justice Waqar Seth had been undergoing treatment at the hospital for the last 10 days. He was appointed ad hoc judge of Peshawar High Court in 2011.
