After the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NCTA) in Pakistan raised the threat of terrorist attacks in Balochistan, especially in Quetta, Chief Minister Jam Kamal said, "It remains to be seen how the frivolous opposition will take it."
In his tweet on Thursday, the Balochistan chief minister said, "The incidents in Quetta, Ormara and Makran in a few days are clear signs that the enemy can do anything."
Meanwhile, Balochistan Home Minister Zia Langu told a press conference in Quetta on Thursday that security arrangements had been made for the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) meeting.
He said that the authorities would fulfill all their responsibilities regarding the security of the PDM meeting in Quetta.
It is to be noted that the Pakistan Democratic Movement, an alliance of opposition parties in Pakistan, has announced a meeting on Sunday, October 25 in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province.
Interior Minister Zia Lango said that PDM leaders should come and exercise their democratic right.
Addressing the PDM leaders, he said, "They should not spread hatred between the institutions and the people during the meeting."
Zia Lango also apprised of the situation in Corona and said that SOPs should be taken care of during the meeting.
He said that the enemy was investing money to worsen the situation in Balochistan.
According to Zia Lango, "there is no threat to the government from the PDM movement, and all possible cooperation will be extended to the leaders of the opposition coalition."
On the other hand, Balochistan National Party (BNP) chief Akhtar Jan Mengal, while sharing the notification of NICTA's threat alert in his tweet, wrote, "If there is such a threat, the first responsibility lies with the government and the state." Otherwise, the PDM is not in charge of security but the federal and provincial governments.
It may be recalled that the Pakistan Democratic Movement, comprising opposition parties, has launched a movement against the government, under which two rallies have been held in Gujranwala and Karachi, while a rally will be held in Quetta on Sunday, October 25.
The Pakistan Democratic Movement has announced meetings on November 22 in Peshawar, November 30 in Multan, December 13 in Lahore and December 27 in Larkana.
