A Saudi court has sentenced a group of people to 64 years in prison for stealing from an Al Jazeera ATM, and ordered the confiscation of 700,000 riyals and vehicles used in the incident.
According to the emergency website, a public prosecution official has released the details of the case of the ATM theft gang.
The public prosecutor's team had filed a case before the Criminal Court in Riyadh against the theft of an ATM in Al Jazeera neighborhood, a public prosecutor said.
The trial proved the charges of theft and money laundering against the accused. The criminal court sentenced the accused to a total of 64 years imprisonment while ordering the confiscation of 700,000 riyals from money laundering.
It has been decided to return the stolen 14 lakh riyals to the perpetrators of the theft.
The public prosecution said that the investigation proved that the blast at the ATM in Al Jazeera neighborhood was carried out by an 11-member group from different countries.
