Six boys arrested for harassing a female student at Karachi University have been granted bail.
According to details, a case was registered against six youths for harassing a student at Karachi University last night, but they were produced in court today. The court has granted bail to all the boys. The defense counsel argued in the court that it was not an FIR as the hostels were closed at 7 pm and the boys were too young. The accused include Faizan, Hamad Ali, Zawar, Abdul Rehman, Umair and Zakir.

It may be recalled that Shaheer, a student of the main campus of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at Karachi University, alleged that the youths residing at Karachi University harassed and attacked him and his female students. Police have recorded the statement of the victim. The youth said that he had come to drop off two fellow students at the hostel. The youths harassed him on his return. The lawsuit alleges harassment, obstruction and other charges, including Galum Gluch.
The arrested boys are between the ages of 16 and 21. One of the arrested accused, Abdul Rehman, has expressed ignorance of the incident.
