The Arab League has thwarted Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, dropped six drone strikes and destroyed three ballistic missiles.
The Arab League for Yemen said in a statement on Wednesday that "several Houthi drones have been shot down in Saudi Arabia."
According to Al Arabiya Net, the spokesman of the Arab League, Colonel Turki Al-Maliki, said that "terrorist elements who try to target civilians will soon be held accountable." The Arab League will take the necessary steps to protect its citizens.
The Arab League had earlier said in a statement that Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists had also sent a landmine to Saudi Arabia for a drone strike, which was shot down before reaching its target.
The spokesman said the Houthi terrorists were deliberately carrying out organized drone and missile attacks to target civilians and civilian installations in southern Saudi Arabia.
The spokesman said in another statement Wednesday night that Houthi ballistic missile attacks had also been thwarted.
Three ballistic missiles fired at three Saudi cities, Khamis Mushait, Jazan and Najran, were intercepted and destroyed in mid-air.
