Medical experts claim that certain treatments have made it possible to cure a deadly disease like AIDS without medication.
According to an international media report, in a research report published in the scientific journal Nature, medical experts have claimed that AIDS can be eradicated without the use of drugs.
The report states that Lauren Whelenberg, a 66-year-old woman from California, was diagnosed with HIV in 1992 and is now fully recovered and living a healthy life without any medication or bone marrow transplant.
Dr. Ricardo Diaz, a physician at the University of Sؤo Paulo and head of the research team, wrote in a research paper that "specific treatments sought to awaken the virus and boost the immune system."
"We did this to eliminate the virus hidden in the body in a single stroke," he wrote.
"When vitamins (nicotinamide) are produced in the body, they not only fight the infected cells but also destroy them," said Dr. Ricardo Diaz.
"Nicotinamide eliminates the virus as well as activates and strengthens the immune system, enabling the patient to fight HIV and then defeat the parasite," he said.
