Great News : New oil reserves are discovered in Pakistan

Kohat (Daily Pakistan Online) New oil and gas reserves have been discovered in Kohat and further testing is underway by the Mole Company.

 

According to the announcement, 16 million cubic feet of gas will be extracted from the new reserves in Tul Block Kohat. According to the preliminary results revealed during the testing, 3,240 barrels of crude oil per day will be obtained. Further testing is ongoing.

Earlier, in December 2019, new gas and oil reserves were discovered in Sindh and Balochistan, which were expected to help ease the gas crisis.

According to Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL), the search for oil and gas reserves has resulted in two major achievements by the concerned agencies which will help in overcoming the shortage of natural gas in the country. These achievements were informed in a letter sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange by the PPL management. At that time, the letter stated that Sindh and Balochistan had 152 barrels per day of crude oil and a total of 39.30 million cubic meters. New natural gas reserves were discovered per day.

In its letter, PPL said that 28.6 million cubic feet of gas reserves have been discovered in the Batro One well in Khairpur Latif Block, Sindh. Pakistan Limited and United Energy Pakistan. The letter said that the Khairpur well would also produce 152 barrels of crude oil per day.

The PPL administration said that natural gas and liquefied natural resources were also discovered in Balochistan during the search operation. One million seven hundred thousand cubic feet of gas was discovered from the Margand well at Chaktan Lime in Kalat area of ​​Balochistan and one such liquid product with a production of 132 barrels per day was also discovered from the well at Merkand. It was done from October 6, 2019 with a depth of 11,854 feet while the drilling of Margand well in Balochistan was started from June 30, 2019. The depth of this well is 4,500 meters.
