London (Daily Pakistan Online) British experts have warned that the second but more dangerous wave of corona virus could hit the UK in winter, which could lead to more than 120,000 deaths in the country.
According to the BBC, when the scientists were asked to provide a comprehensible picture of the deaths caused by the virus, they estimated that the virus could cause 24,500 to 251,000 deaths in UK hospitals in January and February.
The virus has so far killed 44,830 people in the UK. The monthly death toll dropped to 1,100 in July. This estimate does not take into account lockdown, treatment or vaccines.
Scientists agree that this dangerous situation can be reduced if the necessary precautions are taken in time. According to research, the virus is more prevalent in cold weather. Experts say the UK health system will be under more pressure in the winter.
