The United States has said that despite the European Union's recent visit to Iran, it is uncertain whether a nuclear deal with Iran could be resumed.
According to the Associated Press, a US State Department spokesman commented on the review report given after the EU delegation's visit to Tehran.
The State Department spokesman praised the visit of European envoy Enrique Moura, but said that at this stage the resumption of the agreement was still a long way off. Wants to reach an agreement which he believes will be in the interest of all parties.
A State Department spokesman said the United States and its allies had been ready for a long time, and now it was up to Iran.
Earlier in the day, EU foreign policy chief Giuseppe Borrell said in Germany that suspended talks with Iran had resumed following a visit to Tehran by EU Ambassador Enrique Mora.
US President Joe Biden has backed a return to the nuclear deal with Iran, which his predecessor Donald Trump unilaterally seceded in 2018.
However, the conditions Iran has set for the agreement include the removal of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards from the list of terrorist organizations, which the US president has refused to recognize.
It should be noted that the ongoing nuclear talks between Iran and world powers in Vienna were suspended two months ago due to differences on this point.
