Ramesh Dev, a senior actor in the Indian film industry, has died at the age of 93.
According to Indian media, the actor breathed his last at Kokila Ben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.
Confirming his father's death, Ramesh Dev's son Ajinkya said that his father was suffering from a heart condition and had undergone bypass surgery. We took him to the hospital today but a heart attack proved fatal for him and he could not recover. The last rites of the actor will be performed tomorrow. Several artists, including actress Madhuri Dixit and Armela Matundkar, have expressed grief over Ramesh Dev's death.
It should be noted that actor Ramesh Dev had acted in more than 285 Hindi, 190 Marathi and 30 Marathi dramas in his long career. His films include "Anand", "Aap Ki Kasam", "Mere Apne", "Mr. India", "Toy" and "Hulchul".
