A case has been registered in India against Google and YouTube officials for sharing movie songs

Mumbai police have registered a copyright infringement case against six people, including Google's chief executive officer and Indian-American Sundar Pachai, in light of a court order.

Indian filmmaker and director Sunil Darshan had approached the court against Google and YouTube and said that his film had been uploaded on YouTube.

Sunil Darshan had pleaded that the copyright of 'Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha' was not given to anyone, yet many people uploaded songs and videos of the film on YouTube, which Google used to block or block. And YouTube has taken no action.

The director appealed to the court that he had to face loss of crores of rupees due to uploading of videos on YouTube, therefore the court should pay compensation to Google and YouTube.

Following the petitioner's request, the court directed the Mumbai Police to register a case and take action, after which the police registered a case against the Google CEO and six other officers and started investigation.

According to Indian media reports, Mumbai Police has registered a case against Sundar Pachai under the provisions of violation of all rights following a court order. Apart from Sundar Pachai, other managers of Google, including Gautam Anand, managing director of YouTube, have also been named in the lawsuit.
