Shooting of the first film in space, the Russian actress and director returned to Earth 12 days later

The Russian actress and director, who left for the International Space Station (ISS) to shoot her first space film, has returned to Earth after a 12-day mission.

According to the British news agency Reuters, the Russian space agency Russia Cosmos said that the Soyuz MS-18 space capsule was found yesterday in the western part of Kazakhstan, including Russian ISS personnel, Yulia Peresild, director Klim Shipenko and astronaut Oleg Novitsky. Landed at 7:35 a.m. (4:35 GMT) local time in a remote area on the outskirts of.

The crew left space 3 hours before landing.

Russian state TV footage showed the re-entry capsule landing on a vast Kazakh field with its parachute.

After which the personnel on the ground helped the smiling staff to get out of the capsule.

However, actress Yulia Peresild, best known for her role in the 2015 film Battle for Sevastopol, said she was sad to be back from the ISS.

"I'm sad today," the 37-year-old actor told Russian Channel One after landing.

"The reason is that it seemed like 12 days would be so long, but when it was all over, I didn't want to say goodbye," he said.

Roscosmos said the actress and director had been sent to Russia's Star City, a Russian space program suburb on the outskirts of Moscow, for post-flight recovery, which would take about a week.

It should be noted that the launch of the spacecraft for the shooting of the film 'The Challenge' and the return of Russia in the recent race to conquer space is a victory for Russia.

Actress Yulia Peresild and director Klim Shipenko arrived in space before Tom Cruise, whose plans to go into space for a Hollywood X-Rocket movie were announced by NASA last year.

Russia's own space industry has been plagued by delays, accidents and corruption scandals in recent years, while US companies backed by businessmen such as Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos have built new spacecraft. In this film, the actress is playing the role of a doctor who is told to travel to the space station to save the life of an astronaut.

The space station crew will also be seen in the movie 'The Challenge'.
