In Egypt, a prisoner was taken to a hospital with severe abdominal pain, where doctors tested him and found something in his intestinal tract that stunned the doctors.
According to the Daily Star, the prisoner had been suffering from stomach ache for several months and could not eat properly. Recently, when his pain got out of control, he was taken to the hospital where doctors scanned him and found that there was a mobile phone in his anus which was the real cause of his pain.
According to the report, the prisoner did not tell the prison staff or doctors that he had swallowed a mobile phone six months ago. Doctors performed emergency surgery and removed the mobile phone from the prisoner's body. Dr Ashraf Abid, executive director of Aswan University Hospital, which operated on the prisoner, said: "The prisoner wrapped his mobile phone in a plastic bag and swallowed it.
He thought that later the mobile phone would come out through the toilet but the phone got stuck in his body. "After the surgery, the prisoner is now in good health and will be discharged soon and sent back to jail."
