Leading Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has faced another setback in a defamation suit filed by renowned Indian poet and songwriter Javed Akhtar.
According to Indian media reports, a local court in Mumbai has rejected the request to transfer the defamation case of actress Kangana Ranaut. The petition filed by Kangana Ranaut stated that she was not satisfied with the court proceedings.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate ST Dande today rejected the application of actress Kangana Ranaut. During the last hearing, the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate had sought a reply from Magistrate RR Khan on the allegation of Kangana Ranaut, the report of which has been kept confidential.
It may be recalled that well-known Indian poet and songwriter Javed Akhtar has filed a defamation suit against actress Kangana Ranaut in which it is said that Kangana Ranaut made baseless allegations against him on a television show.
