To control smog, it was decided to set fire to parks and fine cigarettes.
According to details, the Punjab Horticulture Authority (PHA) has decided to set fire to parked parks and smoke cigarettes to control smog. The PHA has implemented new orders for all parks.
The PHA has fined the park for setting fire for the first time. A fine of Rs 10,000 will be levied for setting fire to the address and smoking. The district administration also cracked down on smog.
Lahore district has been included in the red zone for closure of kilns, section 144 has been enforced on burning of garbage and rubbish, crackdown has also been decided against 216 industrial units polluting the environment.
Funds of Rs. 2 billion have been allocated for shifting brick kilns to ZigZag technology while action will be taken against smoke emitting vehicles, heavy fines will be imposed and fitness certificate has been made mandatory.
