The UK removed Pakistan from the travel red list


 
ISLAMABAD: The United Kingdom has lifted the travel ban on Pakistan and removed it from the red list.

This was announced by the British High Commissioner to Pakistan Christian Turner on his Twitter account. The British High Commissioner said that he was happy to announce that Pakistan had been removed from the corridors list.

The British High Commission also shared a link to its government based on the details of the travel ban, which states that the travel ban imposed on many other countries, including Pakistan, has been lifted.

After being removed from the red list, Pakistanis vaccinated against corona will no longer have to be quarantined in the UK, whereas before, Pakistanis going to the UK had to be quarantined for 10 days at their own expense. It used to be five lakh rupees in Pakistani rupees.

It is to be noted that after being included in the red list, Pakistan raised the issue at the diplomatic level several times while Prime Minister Imran Khan also telephoned his British counterpart Boris Johns to draw attention to the issue.
