According to the international news agency, the 80-year-old son met his 100-year-old mother in Bangladesh after 70 years and this meeting was made possible thanks to social media.
Abdul Qaddos was born in 1939 in Brahmanbaria district and at the age of 10 he was sent to live with his uncle but he fled to another city where two sisters kept him in their house and raised him.
For the next 70 years, Abdul Qaddos did not have contact with his family, but now he has posted on social media to meet his parents, mentioning the name of his village and some of the landmarks.
The post was read by a man from his parents' village, who told Abdul Qaddos that his mother was alive and still watching. After that, Abdul Qaddos reached the village and met his 100-year-old mother.
