Taliban chief Mullah Hebatullah Akhunzada has set up a high-level commission to address concerns over Pakistan's banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
At the direction of Mullah Hebatullah, a three-member commission was recently formed on concerns over Pakistan's banned TTP, which has begun work. The Taliban commission has urged the banned TTP leaders to resolve issues with Pakistan and return with their families in the event of a general amnesty by the Pakistani government. The statement has not been issued.
On the other hand, Foreign Office spokesman Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry also said in a weekly briefing on Friday that the issue of use of Afghan territory by the banned TTP for anti-Pakistan activities has been raised before the former Afghan government. We will continue to raise this issue with the next Afghan government.
