A three-year performance report of the Punjab government has been presented according to which Punjab has surpassed Sindh in provincial tax targets.
The report said that the Punjab Revenue Authority increased the tax collections by 36.8 per cent, while the Sindh Revenue Board could only increase it by 16.5 per cent in three years.
The report said that a record tax relief of Rs 106 billion was given to the people in the Corona epidemic. Similarly, through Toyota, one lakh additional youths were trained in skills.
The Punjab government launched the Universal Health Scheme for 110 million citizens, under which 8.5 million citizens have now received health cards.
During the Corona epidemic, 32,000 doctors and medical staff were recruited. Punjab provided Corona Relief Allowance to additional medical staff of Rs. 50 billion.
95% additional loans were given to farmers in the province, the support price of wheat was increased from Rs. 1300 to Rs. 1800.
93 shelters and 121 anchorages were constructed across the province, benefiting more than 2.4 million beneficiaries from the shelters and anchorages.
Under the Ehsas program, more than Rs. 15 billion was distributed among the deserving people, and Rs. 18 billion of the government was saved through reforms in the pension system.
The government has reclaimed more than 164,000 acres of land from the mafia, and the anti-corruption department has so far recovered Rs 206 billion.
The government banned foreign trips of ministers, assembly members and officials, and the purchase of new government vehicles.
Overseas treatment at government expense was also banned, and new air conditioners and the decoration of ministers' homes were banned.
