Controversial contestant Arshi Khan, who appeared as a challenger in season 14 of India's most popular reality show Bigg Boss, has revealed that he is not from Pakistan but from Afghanistan.
According to Indian media reports, Arshi Khan, referring to his citizenship in a recent interview, said, "I get hurt when people criticize me on social media for my citizenship."
Arshi Khan said, "Indians think that I belong to Pakistan and that is why my work is very much affected. In fact, I belong to Afghanistan."
"I want to make it clear that I am an Indian citizen and my identity card is Indian, so don't criticize me for my citizenship."
Arshi Khan said, "I belong to the ethnic group of Yusuf Zaheer Pathan of Afghanistan. My grandfather migrated from Afghanistan to India."

It is to be noted that on the occasion of Indian Independence Day, Arshi Khan shared a video of himself on his Instagram account in which he recited the famous poem of the Eastern poet Allama Iqbal 'Dua on the lips' and congratulated the Indians on Independence Day.
After this post, Indians started calling Arshi Khan a Pakistani.
Earlier, Arshi Khan had expressed his views on the current situation in Afghanistan in an interview.
Arshi Khan had said that he was very worried about his relatives in Afghanistan after the Taliban took over.
