Dr. Irshad Kazmi, Deputy Director General, Sindh Addiction Diseases, said in his video statement that according to conservative estimates, there are 70,000 to 78,000 HIV patients in Sindh, out of which only 13,864 patients are registered. , 2461 women, 1126 boys, 730 girls and 421 eunuchs. The number of registered HIV cases in Larkana has reached 2,430 while in Hyderabad it has reached 1,089.
Dr. Irshad Kazmi said that 6,768 cases of HIV have been reported in Karachi, Central District of Karachi has the highest number of patients, there are 2,725 cases of HIV in Central District and 1,035 in Southern District. There are 998 registered HIV / AIDS patients in West District, 907 in Korangi, 667 in Malir District and 436 in East District.
