The federal government has added another 200 megawatts to K Electric
The federal government has given great good news to the people of Karachi who are suffering from heat and load shedding.
On social networking site Twitter, Federal Minister for Energy Hamad Azhar said that Karachi Electric was earlier being provided 350 MW of additional power by the federal government. This amount has been increased by another 200 MW to save the citizens of Karachi from load shedding.
It may be mentioned that due to load shedding in Karachi, people were forced to protest on the streets in recent days. Sindh Governor Imran Ismail took notice of the situation and summoned MD K Electric and issued instructions. The contact requested relief in load shedding in Karachi.
