Launch of High Speed Broadband Project in Swat under Universal Service Fund

 

A signing ceremony was held for the provision of high speed broadband project in Swat under the Universal Service Fund. Under the project, high speed broadband services will be provided to 65,695 people of Swat.

Federal Minister for Communications Murad Saeed said that the areas which were left behind in the era of development will be remedied. To take advantage of e-commerce, the best internet service has to be provided. In the cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister said that deprived areas Focus, 4G facility will be available in Swat within a year, 4G will also be provided in Lower Dir, Upper Dir, Shangla and other areas, Internet facility will also be available in the former FATA by next year We will work for the development of Pakistan by taking advantage of the internet facility.

Murad Saeed said that previous governments deprived Swat of IT facilities, in the past no government has paid attention to the IT sector, the government is fully focused on developing the IT sector, IT Exports have increased by 40%. In the age of e-commerce, people can start their own business from home.

Federal Minister Aminul Haq said that the internet supply project would cost Rs. 78 crore, 1.4 million, a software technology park would be set up in Mingora and more than 500 skilled workers would be able to start their work in the software park.
