Despite the horrors of Corona in India, local body elections were held in the state of Uttar Pradesh which started from the first week of April and ended yesterday, and now the counting process is underway. In the local elections, more than 15,000 school teachers served as election staff.
Since the local government elections, teachers participating in the election process have been increasingly falling victim to corona. Following the deaths of more than 700 teachers in Corona, the Teachers' Association has demanded that the vote count be postponed. Prime Minister Modi has been held responsible for this.
