Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Senator Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that he has sought time to present the issue of resignation before the long march before the party's Central Executive Committee (CEC).
When the leaders came for a press conference after a tumultuous long meeting of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman announced the postponement of the long march. After his departure, the dice were taken over by Maryam Nawaz and Yousuf Raza Gilani, who kept reassuring the media that the PDM was united.
Talking to the media, former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said that he and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had requested the PDM leadership to give them time on the issue of resignations. The first decision of the PPP Central Executive Committee was not in favor of resignations, so we have taken the time to go back to the CEC.
