In addition, educational institutions in the federal capital Islamabad will remain closed till March 28. According to the decision of the NCOC, outdoor policy will be continued in restaurants, indoor services in wedding halls and restaurants will remain closed from March 15. The decision to open wedding halls etc. has been postponed. The NCOC's marriage hall policy will remain in place. The decision to open cinemas has been postponed. According to the decision, entertainment venues will be closed till 6 pm.
Briefing about the decisions taken at the NCOC meeting, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood and Special Assistant Dr Faisal Sultan said that the rate of corona cases has increased in the last one week. Dr. Faisal Sultan said that with the increase in cases, the number of patients in hospitals increases. Make sure to use a mask, he said. Management should continue the policy of smart lockdown.
The Special Assistant said that he supports the policy of working with 50% of the staff from home. The policy of continuing work till 6 pm will continue. Addressing a press conference, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood said that 50 million children of the country go to schools. Corona's situation in educational institutions in Sindh and Balochistan is not troubling. But keeping in view the situation in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Kashmir, children in 7 different cities of Punjab, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Sialkot will be given spring vacation from March 15 to March 28. There will also be holidays in educational institutions in Peshawar. The Federal Minister for Education said that educational institutions in Islamabad would also remain closed from March 15 to March 28. The same decision is expected regarding the educational institutions of Azad Kashmir but the decision will be taken by the government of Azad Kashmir. Apart from these 7 cities of Punjab, the children of other cities will be able to come to school as usual and continue their education. Shafqat Mahmood said that schools should continue monitoring the Corona situation on their own.
