Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, the head of the administration of the two holy shrines, administered the first injection of the corona vaccine. He appealed to the people to get vaccinated against the virus.
According to Saudi media, Imam of Kaaba Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais was given the first injection in King Abdullah Medical City. On this occasion, the Imam of the Kaaba sent a message to the people that they must be vaccinated against the corona virus.
Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman and praised the staff of the Ministry of Health.
He said that the government has provided free corona vaccine to the citizens of the country and all foreigners, which in itself is a sign of how much the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is giving priority to public health.
He added that the fight against the global corona virus could be won by vaccinating against the corona vaccine.
Earlier, the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Sheikh, had ruled that it was permissible to administer the corona vaccine while fasting.
The Grand Mufti said that vaccination will not invalidate the fast. Corona vaccine is given intramuscularly and it does not break the fast.
