Indoor weddings banned in corona-affected districts, parks closed, transport restricted

The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has decided to crack down on districts with a positive rate of more than 8% in Corona. Indoor weddings have been banned in such districts, while parks have also been closed.

A meeting of the NCOC was held under the chairmanship of the Federal Minister for Planning in which all the Provincial Chief Secretaries participated through video link. The NCOC expressed grave concern over the situation in Corona and decided to take drastic measures in the worst affected cities. The meeting decided that cities with an 8% positive case rate would be declared high risk and transportation would be restricted there. In such cities, except for emergencies, there will be a complete ban on transportation.

The NCOC has decided that indoor meals and wedding ceremonies will be completely banned in Corona-affected districts. In the affected districts, outdoor dining will be allowed at 10 pm while commercial activities will be allowed at 8 pm. Outdoor weddings will be held in the affected districts with the participation of 300 guests. The ceremony will be given two hours and will have to end by 10 pm.

According to the NCOC statement, the affected districts will have two days off per week while the days of leave will be decided at the provincial discretion. Shrines, cinema halls and parks will remain closed in such areas. Parking walking and jogging tracks will remain open. Organizing sports, festivals and other events will be banned while public and private offices and court staff will work with 50 per cent staff. Half rides in inner city public transport and 70 per cent rides in trains will be allowed.
