According to the news agency AP, Twitter has permanently removed the alleged account of former TTP spokesman Ehsan Ehsan.
The account attributed to Ehsanullah Ehsan could not be independently verified.
Earlier on Twitter, Malala Yousafzai reacted immediately to the threatening statement by questioning Prime Minister Imran Khan and a Pakistan Army spokesman about escaping from government custody.
Rauf Hassan, an adviser to the prime minister, said the government was investigating the threat and asked Twitter to immediately suspend the account.

He claimed that he had kept his promises but accused Pakistani officials of violating them, saying he and his family had been detained.
Later, the Senate Standing Committee on Home Affairs sought a detailed report on Ehsanullah Ehsan's alleged flight from the country, and on February 13, the family of Martyrs Army Public School (APS) Peshawar asked Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed.
In their petition to the Chief Justice, the families of 15 students who were martyred in the tragedy had said, "We, the families, are deeply shocked to hear the news of the alleged escape of Ehsanullah Ehsan and his family after spending almost three years in government custody." '
