Corona vaccine developed in India has been found to be ineffective against the virus.
According to international media reports, South Africa has announced that it will withdraw the AstraZeneca vaccine made in India ineffective.
South Africa has written a letter to India informing it that vaccines made at the Serum Institute of India do not affect the new strain, so it is blocking the use of vaccines from India in its vaccination program.
The letter said that one million doses received should be withdrawn. South Africa bought one million vaccines from India that arrived in South Africa in the first week of February.
Another 500,000 vaccines were due to arrive in South Africa soon, but shipments have been cut off immediately.
It should be noted that India had obtained a license from the United Kingdom to manufacture one billion AstraZeneca vaccines. India has also sent home-made vaccines to other countries.
