A bomb blast near a wedding party in a Yemeni coastal city has killed at least five women and injured seven others, including children.
According to the international news agency, the wedding ceremony was going on in Al-Mansour Hall located on Airport Road in the coastal city of Al-Hudaida in Yemen, during which a cannonball fell nearby, as a result of which dozens of people were seriously injured.
Rescuers rushed the injured to a hospital where five women were confirmed dead and seven others were seriously injured, including four women and three children. Some of the injured were allowed to return home after receiving medical treatment.
A spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition said the shells were fired from the eastern city of Hodeidah, which is controlled by Houthi rebels.
On the other hand, the spokesman of the Houthi rebels blamed the coalition forces for the attack and said that the people were being intimidated by the cowardly act.
It should be noted that two days ago, the plane carrying the Prime Minister and cabinet members of the newly formed government to Aden Airport was attacked, as a result of which more than 20 people were killed, but the Prime Minister and cabinet members survived the attack.
