Farmers in India have announced a protest on Indian Republic Day. The farmer leader says that if the controversial agricultural laws are not withdrawn, they will take a tractor to Delhi's Parade Road on January 26, Republic Day.
The farmers' leaders also rejected the committee formed by the Supreme Court. Farmers leaders say the government is pretending to talk and cannot believe Modi. Farmers in several provinces, including Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and UP, are holding tractor rallies and campaigning for people to reach Delhi on January 26. Farmers say the Supreme Court's decision to form a committee is Modi's ploy. Protesters have vowed to stick to controversial laws until they are returned.
