Three European countries warn Iran to suspend uranium enrichment

The three European powers have warned Iran not to start producing uranium-based fuel at one of its research reactors. If Iran does so, it would be a violation of the 2015 nuclear deal because it has no military use and has serious military implications.

The United Kingdom, Germany and France said in a joint statement that they "strongly urge Iran to end this activity and if it is serious about maintaining a joint comprehensive strategy (nuclear deal), it will continue to do so." Iran has been violating the nuclear deal for the past two months.

Iran's parliament passed a law in November in response to the death of its leading nuclear scientist. By justifying this, Iran is acting contrary to the terms of the nuclear deal. In response to the unilateral withdrawal from the IAEA, measures were taken in 2019 and high-level uranium enrichment began. The US President imposed tough sanctions on Iran after rejecting the nuclear deal. The three European powers, China and Russia. He expressed deep concern over Iran's new nuclear activities and said that Iran's uranium metal production was of no use for civilian purposes and could potentially be used. There are serious military implications.

It should be noted that Iran cannot produce or acquire uranium metal for 15 years under the nuclear deal. This sensitive material can be used in a nuclear bomb. Violations of the nuclear deal by Iran have led to US President-elect Joseph Biden. Pressure is mounting. He will take over the presidency next week. He has said during his election campaign that if Iran abides by all the terms of the nuclear deal, the United States will rejoin it, while Iran will impose all sanctions on the United States.
