According to international media reports, the 11-month-old girl accidentally stuck a small battery the size of a button around her neck.
At first, when the girl had difficulty in eating, the doctors gave her medicine without any investigation, considering it as a viral infection or a minor sore throat, which gave her temporary relief, but she continued to suffer from constant anxiety.
When the parents' worries increased, the surgeon examined the girl and did an X-ray of the throat, in which the doctor was surprised to see something solid stuck in the throat.
The doctor decided to operate immediately and after the permission of the parents, removed the battery through a successful two-hour operation to alleviate the girl's pain.
The doctor said the battery was slowly moving towards the esophagus, which could be extremely dangerous. After the operation, the girl's mouth has been taped and closed and she is being fed through the nostrils.
