India has launched the world's largest vaccine campaign against the corona virus, with one vaccinator severely affected and 51 others with minor medical complications.
New Delhi Health Minister Stander Jain has confirmed the medical complications caused by the corona virus vaccine.
The 22-year-old security guard, who was vaccinated, was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
According to local media, after the vaccination, the security guard started having headache, allergies and respiratory problems which were immediately shifted to ICU.
The provincial minister said that only one person had to be admitted to the hospital in Delhi while the remaining 51 were not required to be admitted to the hospital.
He said 51 victims were detained for observation only.
In India, 200,000 frontline healthcare and sanitary workers were given the first dose of the vaccine.
Meanwhile, 3,352 centers have been set up across the country on Saturday where about 200,000 people have so far been given the first dose of the vaccine.
Manohar Agnani, Additional Secretary, Union Ministry of Health, said in a press briefing that the Covid 19 vaccination campaign was successfully launched on the first day.
According to figures provided by the Ministry of Health, another 15,144 cases were reported in India on Sunday, bringing the total to more than 10 million.
He said that 181 deaths related to the virus have been reported in India, bringing the total number to 152,274.
