President-elect Joe Biden is expected to issue a number of executive orders, including the lifting of controversial travel bans on Muslim countries on the opening day.
Al Jazeera reports that according to a memo issued by the new White House Chief of Staff Ron Klein, the new US administration will change the policies of US President Donald Trump.
According to the memo, the presidential office will change several policies of the past within 10 days.
The Biden administration will decide on key issues such as coronavirus prevention measures, the Paris Agreement on climate change and immigration legislation to grant citizenship to millions.
Immediately after taking office in 2017, US President Donald Trump issued an executive order banning travelers from seven Muslim countries from entering the country.
Analysts say the ban could easily be lifted because it was enforced through an executive order and a presidential announcement.
He said, however, that conservative opponents could delay the process through legal action.
The memo said it included a solution to pay off student loans, as well as to separate immigrant children from their families.
Joe Biden had earlier announced that he would press Congress to approve a $ 1.9 billion package to deal with the economic crisis caused by the corona virus.
In October, Biden also promised to persuade politicians to legislate to end the growing number of hate crimes in the United States.
