A girl studying in the UK refused to wear a skirt below the knee length and the school administration started threatening the parents with serious consequences.
According to international media reports, a 12-year-old student named Shehim Hamood, who is studying in a British school, refused to wear a skirt, calling the school uniform short and against Sharia.
On the student's refusal, a teacher a month ago declared her clothes to be in violation of the school uniform and instructed her to follow the rules in any case or she would be expelled.
The student's father, Idris Hamood, said that in December last year, the teachers kicked him out of class and sent him home several times, saying that he had returned wearing a school uniform or skirt.
The parents spoke to Yux Bridge High School in Hilling Dawn, west London, about the matter and tried to explain it, but they rejected their position and threatened.
The parents said that their daughter wears the same color as the school uniform but the administration does not like it and considers these clothes as a violation of discipline.
"According to Islamic teachings, we cannot dress our daughter in shorts, even though she herself does not agree," the father said.
The school administration has now sent a threatening letter to the parents stating that the girl has not been coming to school for several days, still she will not be allowed to sit in the class if she does not come in uniform.
The school administration also wrote in the letter that if Sheham did not appear in full uniform, her absence would be counted, which would result in not only withholding the result but also a fine, if the violation continued. Notice will also be sent from the court.
The administration said that the responsibility for the girl's absence lies with the parents and they should ensure that their daughter comes to school in full uniform.
