Farmers are ready to give a big blow to Modi government, the protesters announced to bring one lakh tractors from Haryana alone on the so-called Indian Republic Day.
Preparations are in full swing for farmers to reach Delhi on January 26 on Indian tractors. Farmers from several states, including Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan, have planned to start the march from January 20.
The number of sit-ins on the Sanghu border outside Delhi has been steadily rising, with farmers' leaders vowing to hold back until controversial agricultural laws are repealed, and nine rounds of talks between the government and protesters have failed.
