Christchurch, New Zealand have a 302-run lead over Pakistan

 

Despite being repeatedly affected by rain on the third day of the Christchurch Test, New Zealand's position against Pakistan is stable. New Zealand has a 302-run lead over Pakistan till the tea break.

Kiwi captain Kane Williamson was dismissed for 238, scoring his fourth double century of his career. The third day's play was stopped twice due to rain.

New Zealand scored 599 runs for 6 wickets against Pakistan. Daryl Mitchell (69) and Kelly Jamieson (6) are at the crease.

 New Zealand has a 302-run lead over Pakistan. Against Pakistan, New Zealand's fifth wicket fell for 452 runs while the sixth wicket fell for 585 runs. BJ Watling was dismissed for 7 runs while Kane Williamson returned to the pavilion for 238 runs.

In the second Test match between New Zealand and Pakistan, the visiting team won the toss and elected to field first.

Pakistan scored 297 in the first innings. The opening pair once again failed to perform well. Abid Ali 25 and Shaun Masood were out without scoring a run.

Haris Sohail and Fawad Alam also managed to score only 2 runs. Muhammad Rizwan was dismissed for 61 runs. Azhar Ali played a brilliant innings of 93 runs. Faheem Ashraf 48, Zafar Gohar 34, Shaheen Afridi 4 and Naseem Shah scored 12 runs.

New Zealand's Kyle Jamieson took five wickets while Team Southee and Trent Bolt took 2.2 wickets each.

The national team lost the first Test. New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 101 runs. New Zealand has a 1-0 lead in the two-Test series.
