Prominent religious scholar of the country, renowned scholar, superintendent of Jamia Ahsan-ul-Uloom Karachi, Shaykh-ul-Hadith wali-Tafsir Mufti Zar Wali Khan passed away at a local hospital in Karachi after a long illness. Mufti Zar Wali Khan remained associated with teaching and learning all his life. Author of books and teacher of thousands of Ulema, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Religious Affairs Allama Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islami chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Sirajul Haq, Ahl-e-Sunnat and Jamaat chief Maulana Muhammad Ahmad Ludhianvi, Maulana Aurangzeb Farooqi, Maulana Qari Muhammad Hanif Jalandhari and other important personalities have expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of Mufti Zar Wali Khan. Funeral prayers of Mufti Zar Wali Khan will be held on Tuesday at 2 pm at the ground adjacent to Jamia Ahsan Uloom.

Mufti Zar Wali Khan was born in 1953 in Jahangira area of Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He graduated from Jamia Uloom-ul-Islamia Allama Banuri Town Gurmunder. As one of the leading scholars, Mufti Zar Wali Khan has been associated with the field of teaching and learning all his life. Ulema students from all over the country used to come to Jamia Ahsan-ul-Uloom every year to read his commentary. Mufti Zar Wali Khan is the author of many books and the best. Mufti Zar Wali Khan's recitation of Pashto poems with Tarnam was very popular in the teachings of Tafsir. I founded Ahsan-ul-Uloom Madrasa in 1978 and have been teaching Qur'an and Hadith here all my life.
